Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? You’re not the only one. Here’s what most people ask us—and what you need to know about Run2Game and our upcoming Kickstarter launch.

  • Run2Game is a step-based authentication system that syncs with a wearable or smartphone app. It locks access to gaming (or other screen-based activities) until you’ve hit your daily step goal.

  • You set a goal in the app. Once your wearable or phone syncs that you’ve completed it, you get a unique unlock code to access your gaming device.

    **Gaming consoles not yet supported.

  • At launch, our system will work with our proprietary wearable and phone-based tracking. If our Kickstarter goal is met, we’ll unlock stretch goals for Smartwatch integration, Apple Health integration, and Samsung Health integration.

  • Yes! If you don’t have the wearable, your smartphone can track your steps using built-in sensors. Our goal is to keep the core features accessible to everyone.

  • We offer emergency and paid bypass options:

    • 1-hour free unlock (only available once in a 24-hour period).

    • 4-hour or 12-hour unlocks (one-time or bundle purchases available).

  • Yes—our Family Plan supports up to 4 users under one account. Each person still sets and tracks their own individual goals. This will require a proprietary device to work from one phone. Otherwise you can install the app on multiple devices and have the account of that family member logged in.

  • We’re preparing for launch soon! Exact dates will be announced first on Discord and social media. Join the MOVEment to stay in the loop.

  • At launch, we’ll ship to the U.S., Canada, UK, and Australia. Additional countries may be added as stretch goals during the campaign.

  • At launch, Run2Game will be available in English. Language localization is a high-priority stretch goal for our Kickstarter campaign. Backers will be able to vote on which languages we add first via our Discord community.
